As a Wealth Management Advisor who specializes in Family Practice I challenge my clients to manage their wealth not for the world we are living in, but for the world we will be living in. That requires thinking innovatively and looking beyond what is happening in the moment or how things were done in the past, so that the wealth they have worked so hard to attain continues to grow and is protected for future generations.
I learned this lesson early in life. My paternal grandparents ran a successful business that was taken from them as a result of nationalization of foreign owned assets in Egypt in the 1950’s. That forced the family to return to their home country, Greece. They died shortly thereafter leaving my father to take care of his younger siblings.
As a young boy growing up in Greece, I witnessed the struggle my father endured as he did what he needed to do to ensure a secure future for our family. The lessons I learned then, including financial planning for unforeseen events are my motivation to action today as an investment consultant, banker, trustee, board member, risk manager and family office advisor.
My experience straddles wealth disciplines and includes advising business families in developed as well as emerging markets on investments and strategy across asset classes, major transition and liquidity events, wealth structuring, fiduciary practices, family office and insurance solutions.
